The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission reannounced the recall on April 16, 2026, for Casely Power Pods 5000mAh MagSafe wireless power banks, model E33A. The notice lists about 429,200 units and says the product was previously recalled in April 2025.

CPSC says it received 28 additional reports of overheating, expansion or fire since its April 2025 recall. The same notice describes two incidents, one involving a death and one on an airplane, and dates them to August 2024 and February 2026. Because the fatal event predates the 2025 recall, the notice does not explain how that death relates to its statement that the 28 additional reports came after the recall.

Model E33A is printed on the back, and “Casely” is engraved on the front plate. CPSC says the power banks were sold online from March 2022 through September 2024 for $30 to $70.

The dated notice tells owners to stop using the charger and contact Casely for a free replacement. It asks for two photos: one of the front marked “Recalled” with the date, and one showing the model number. CPSC says a household hazardous-waste center may accept the battery or device and advises contacting the center ahead of time to ask; owners should follow local and state disposal rules.
